Abstract and Full Paper Submission Guidelines

Abstract Submission

Abstract should be written in English, should not exceed 250 words, typed on A4 paper using MS Word Program, in Times New Roman font, 12-point and single spacing. The title should be less than 15 words and typed in capital. The author's and co-author's full name (please omit degrees) should be followed by name of the department, institution and email address.

Content of abstracts includes:

Research Article : Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion (underlined)
Case Report : Introduction, Objectives, Case Operation Procedures, and Conclusion (underlined)
Literature Review : Background, Objectives, Literature Studies, Discussion, and Conclusion (underlined)

Abstracts should be submitted through online submission, or by sending two scripts (original and duplicated) with 1 CD contained soft copy of the script via post or by e-mail no less than May 9, 2009 to:

The scientific committee will evaluate the content of each abstract and make the final selection of the abstract for presentation. Abstracts not complying with the specified format will not be considered. Accepted abstract will be notified by e - mail to the submitter.

Full Paper Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should not be published elsewhere. Papers may be a Research Articles, Case Reports, and/or Literature Reviews. Papers without abstracts will be rejected. If a presentation is later proven to contain previously published materials, appropriate sanctions will be imposed against the author(s), such as prohibiting presentation at the next meeting.

The title should be brief (not more than 15 words) and typed in all CAPITAL letters. The author's and co-author's full name (omit degrees) should be followed by name of the department, institution and e-mail address. The presenter should be the author. The co-author may represent the author in the presentation with notification to the Scientific Committee.

Persons submitting an abstract are doing so with the understanding that they abide by the conditions, deadline policies, and the decisions of the Scientific Committee. An individual may submit only one abstract and may present only one paper at the meeting, but may appear as a co-author on other abstracts.

Full papers can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English. They should be typed on one side of an A4 paper using size 12 in Times New Roman font and 1,5 spacing, 3 cm margin all around, not more than 10 pages, excluding figures, charts, tables and references, number in all pages. Full papers should be submitted through e-mail to info@kppikg.com or send two scripts (original and duplicated) with 1 CD contained soft copy of the manuscript via post no later than June 14, 2009.

Notification:
When you submit an abstract, a message will be sent to your e-mail address. You will need your username (e-mail address) and your password to login where then you may edit your submitted abstract and review your registration details.

Important:
Please be sure to use a valid, long-term e-mail address as it will be used for all further communications (including acceptance/ rejection notifications) regarding your abstract.

Content of full papers should be organized as follows:

Research Article - Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgement, and References
Case Report - Introduction, Objectives, Case Operation procedures, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References
Literature Review - Introduction, Literature studies, Discussion, Conclusion, and References
Figures, Charts, Graphs and Photographs - should be submitted separately. Black and white photographs should be printed in a glossy paper with the author's name on the back of each figure, charts, graphs or photographs
References - according to Vancouver style, example:

Journal references style:

Book references style:

Mode of Presentation

Oral Presentation
Main Lecture: 30 mins presentation and 15 mins discussion
Short Lecture: 15 mins presentation and 5 mins discussion
Integrated Lecture: 15 mins presentation for each presenter and 5 mins Discussion.
Slides should be written in English

Poster Presentation
1. Poster dimension: height 120 cm, width 90 cm (portrait orientation)
2. Poster should be written in English and the text should be of sufficient size for easy reading at a distance 1.5 m
3. Poster frames will be provided in the poster area. A double sided tape will be used to put your poster up
4. Poster content should include Introductions, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusions

Before and After Photo Contest in Dentistry
Presentation of photos showing pictures from various cases before and after treatment, followed by short explanation for the photos. The original photos (before and after) must be placed to a poster paper 90 cm (width) x 60 cm (height). For the detail rules, see www.kppikg.com/photocontest.

Abstract and Full Paper Submission Selection

Accepted papers will be edited without changing the content.
You have 3 options for publishing your Abstract and Full Paper Submission:

Abstract will only be published in KPPIKG 2009 Abstracts and Programmes Book
Abstract and Full Paper will be published in KPPIKG 2009 Proceeding Book with ISBN
Abstract and Full Paper will be published in the Indonesian Journal of Dentistry (IJD) with ISSN, providing that your article fulfills the criteria and format of the IJD. For this option, all articles will be subjected to peer-reviewing and decision will solely be made by the Editors of the IJD

All speakers are required to pay the appropriate registration fees no later than August 14, 2009. Failure to comply with this procedure may result in the prohibition of the speaker in presenting his/her presentation.

All accepted Research Articles and Case Reports that fulfill the requirement submission and deadline will be included in the KPPIKG-PEPSODENT SCIENTIFIC AWARD competition.

KPPIKG - Pepsodent Scientific Awards

There will be 6 winners for Best Paper Presentation in Research and Case Report categories. Each first winner will be awarded to attend a regional dental conference sponsored by PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk. For details, see www.kppikg.com/Award.
